My water meter started to leak. I was upfront about this on the initial call since I didn’t know any better.A tech was sent out, but this is a City of Barrie domain it turned out. I was charged the fee for the tech to come out. I complained and issued a refund since I should have been told to call the city first. The company made it right and I appreciate that . I would use them again if needed. Signs of a good company, no questions asked on the refund .

Your plumbing expert Bruce visited our country home to solve an issue with water backing up from our foundation drain. He explained that this tiny 1” drain probably drained into the ground under our home and wasn’t effective for the quantity of water produced. We inherited this setup from the previous owner and always wondered why the drain was so small, waiting for the day there was a problem. He suggested a condensation pump to pump the water UP to the drainage pipe (which is 4 feet higher than the basement floor) to ensure the water from our air conditioner and tankless water heater ended up in the septic tank. He also inspected our two sump pumps in the basement to ensure they were working properly. He went above and beyond sharing his expertise with us! And our condensation pump will be installed tomorrow morning! Now that’s efficient! Thank you Superior.

Although it was challenging to wait another day since the blockage couldn’t be cleared (and the company is closed on Sundays), a different team arrived on Monday morning, performed a thorough inspection, and successfully fixed the problem. They even used a camera to confirm that the blockage was on the city’s side of the sewage line and provided us with clear instructions on how to file a claim with the city. My only complaint was lack of communication from this company’s office. I had arranged a service call for a Tuesday and was given my appt for between 10-2. By 2, I hadn’t heard from anyone. I called the office twice, once it was disconnected and the second time, no one answered. Thankfully the service technician called me to tell me he was running quite behind. He called again to say that he ended up at the wrong address, trust me, that has happened many times being part of the amalgamation with Hamilton. But, by that time, it was going to be quite late, so he offered to make me his first appt on Wed, but he needed to speak to the office. And I heard nothing until I called the office around 12:30 today to see what was happening. The young man called to say he would be late due to an office meeting. He did finally arrive, and he apologized profusely for all the mix ups. His work was STELLAR, but communication with the office was horrendous! I have usually always had the office call to keep me updated. Brian was a fantastic technician and he even fixed another problem I had been having. His work was absolutely worth the wait. The water tank installation was completed day after requesting service. A slight mix-up with installers as spoke initially with Daniel who provided all the required info and confirmed the brand of tank we preferred would be installed. Daniel apparently could not complete installation as was engaged in a lengthy job on day service was to be provided. Two replacement installers whom we had not spoken to, arrived with an alternate but comparable tank. They arrived within estimated time frame of one to three hours and did an excellent installation. They were courteous, friendly and efficient. Also advised we could wait for pick-up of preferred tank but decided to go ahead with the alternate. Points to be aware of: Superior Plumbing & Heating, Newmarket is not a stand alone, physical plumbing/heating shop located in Newmarket, nor are any of their other many listed locations throughout Ontario. This company hires sub-contractors only, with a billing office located in Mississauga, so when ordering initial or repeat service, customers won’t necessarily get the same sub-contractor unless specifically requested. Contractors will arrive in their own vehicles without Superior Plumbing/Heating logo, and do not have any Superior ID. No type of financing was offered and half the estimated cost of the job is required prior to installation. Fortunately, we were pleased with with the hot water tank installation due to the skill of the sub-contractors who completed the job. Office staff were also courteous and helpful.

I was very pleased with Adam. He was very pleasant and got the job done. The only problem was that he was supposed to be there 24 hrs prior to coming, but, in all fairness to Adam, it wasn’t his fault. There was an emergency which was beyond his control. But, I had to keep calling to find out if someone was still coming. I had to delay a trip to help my sister in the hospital for a day. I was very confused when I called and the person answering the phone said “Hi”. I wasn’t sure if I had the right number.i expected the phone to be answered more professionally, like stating the name of the company. I spent majority of a Saturday morning phoning “emergency ” plumbers just to be told they don’t service Marmora or work weekends. When I reached out to Superior Plumbing they told me they would have a plumber out to me. I had barely sat down to wait when I got the call from Eric saying he would be at my home in 25 minutes. On arrival he spoke to my Landlord with me to advise what he was going to do and get approval from him. Eric was very patient and understanding. He assessed the problem and dealt with the issue. As I stood, watched and asked questions, (something that can be irritating to even the best tradesman), Eric pleasantly explained what he was doing. He took great care of our thrones and the marble floors on which they were resting. To my surprise he was prepared for any spillage. There was next to no mess and he sterilized the floor and base of my throne before putting on the wax sealer and setting it back in it’s place gently. Sean did a great job. He cleared the kitchen sink drain with the hydro jet, but then push the sludge further down stream, blocking the main drain line. He almost had to remove the basement toilet to unblock the line, worked hard at snaking the kitchen sink drain line to finally unblock the main drain. He showed me what the flushing brought back and explained the cause of the blockage. Highly recommended.

We discovered that our sump pump was running continously with smoke coming from it on Saturday afternoon. We had been flooded a year prior due to a power outage and our entire basement flooded ruining our finished basement so we were greatly concerned with it happening again. The first person we met came to look at the problems. He was very professional, and was able to identify the cause very quickly. He also proposed several possibilities including my own quick fix for one of the issues (which I did and it worked!) I received an estimate so I knew what to expect. The next day the workers came and did the work efficiently. They were respectful and were able to identify additional problems which became evident once the work began – the joys of an old house! Anyway – they needed to come a 2nd day but finally everything was repaired and is now working great! I will definitely use this company again when future plumbing issues arise.

Our tankless heater went down and over the course of several days Superior had 2 different techs come out to try and repair. Superior had to contact the manufacturer who also sent a tech out but was unsuccessful in repairing. After the manufacturer failed to rectify Superior stepped up and replaced the unit themselves.
