Calling our Newmarket drain cleaning specialist is a win-win decision!
Any homeowner who has faced plumbing problems understands the importance of calling a professional to perform various services – restoration, installation, maintenance, etc. Sometimes, you may not even have pliers at home, without which any replacement would not be possible. In such a way, professional equipment (clog-clearing tools) is particularly critical if you need drain cleaning in Newmarket.
However, not all homeowners can recognize properly when their home drains require qualified help. The first sign is a recurring clog, which cannot be eliminated using the DIY methods we list below. For example, one of the most affordable and effective ways to deal with minor obstructions is the natural combination of baking soda and vinegar. Additionally, you can try to flush the drain with a pot of boiling water, but both will be ineffective with severe blockages. For the latter, it may be appropriate to use a plunger – position it over the drain and wait until about half of the plunger is in the water. Use it at an angle to create more pressure, but remember that it causes excessive pressure on the pipe, damaging the line. However, the most effective ways to get rid of constant blockages are snaking and hydro-jetting, which our experienced professionals can perform.

How to perform sewer cleaning in Newmarket?
Sewer backup is one of the most unpleasant emergencies a homeowner may face. Waste may be forced back through the line and into the house via the basement’s drains, toilets, and shower heads if the sewage system becomes overwhelmed due to heavy rain or a blockage obstruction in the sewer line. Moreover, sewage consists of various chemical and biological toxins that may be dangerous to your health. So, it not only creates expensive damage to the property you live in, but it also poses a threat to your family. If, after initial diagnostic and inspection, our plumber confirms the clog, they choose one of two professional drain clearing techniques – hydro-jetting or snaking.
Hydro-jetting
Suppose that the state of your pipes allows you to perform a high-pressure water technique. Then, the procedure begins when a plumber puts a nozzle into the sewage line, often through the cleanout. Based on the diagnostics, we will determine the appropriate level of water pressure for your pipes. Once the technician locates the problem area, they will use a jetter to shoot a high-pressure water stream down the drain. Usually, up to 3,500 pounds per square inch (psi), the water rushes down the line with enormous power, clearing obstructions and washing away accumulated dirt.
Even root obstructions may be removed using hydro jetting; however, the plumber should first use a snake to shred the roots into smaller, more manageable pieces.
Drain snaking
If video inspection shows that the first cleaning technique can damage your pipes, we will apply a more traditional and proven method – sewer snaking.
The first step during this procedure is always to remove the cap from the main line of the cleanout and look for standing water. Assuming everything goes as planned, we will have to place the sewer drain snake near the cleanout and insert the cable into it. Our technician will turn the machine on and set it to “forward” mode with the following stretching and loosening of the wire until we no longer feel any resistance as it feeds slowly down the drain and reaches the problematic area. We will keep changing the cable’s direction a few feet at a time until the obstruction is removed.
Just in case, we’ll send another 10 to 15 feet of the snake down the drain to ensure it’s completely clear. If the sewer cleaning in Newmarket is done correctly, we get the auger back.
